Cancellation & Refund Policy

Standard terms governing order cancellations, setup fee recovery, third-party disbursements, and refund disbursements.

Executive Policy Summary

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: Available on eligible first-time purchases of standard shared web hosting, managed cloud hosting, and shared n8n automation subscriptions.
Plan-Specific Setup Fees are Non-Refundable: Initial provisioning, virtual container orchestration, network routing, and environment sandboxing incur non-recoverable infrastructure costs upon order fulfillment.
Multi-Month (3+ Months) Commitment Clause: For quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and biennial billing, setup fees are conditionally waived at checkout. In the event of early termination within the guarantee window, the plan-specific setup fee is retained and deducted from the refund payout.
Third-Party Direct Costs: Domain name registrations, renewals, registry transfers, and SSL certificates are non-refundable once requested or provisioned.
01

Scope & Money-Back Guarantee Framework

ShivaHost provides a limited 7-calendar-day money-back guarantee for initial subscriptions to select hosting services, including shared web hosting, managed Indian and global cloud plans, and shared n8n automation instances.

If a customer encounters substantive technical limitations or concludes that the provisioned service fails to satisfy their operational requirements, a formal cancellation request may be submitted within seven (7) calendar days of the initial order date.

All refunds disbursed under this guarantee represent the net refundable balance after deducting non-refundable plan-specific setup fees, domain registry disbursements, commercial licensing, and SSL issuance fees.

First-Time Subscriptions Only: The guarantee applies strictly to a customer’s initial service activation. Scheduled subscription renewals, plan upgrades, tier migrations, bandwidth overages, supplementary IP allocations, and subsequent orders placed under the same or affiliated accounts are non-refundable.
02

Infrastructure Provisioning & Setup Fee Policy

Provisioning modern automation architectures—including containerized n8n execution nodes, isolated queue workers, relational database instances, and dedicated virtualization slices—requires immediate operational execution, resource reservation, and network configuration.

2.1 Plan-Specific Setup Fees (Strictly Non-Refundable)

Depending on the selected product category, resource tier, and compute requirements, ShivaHost levies a one-time setup fee upon order placement.

  • Variable Fee Schedule: Setup fees vary based on the specific plan and infrastructure complexity (e.g., ₹150 on introductory n8n shared plans; higher or plan-dependent on advanced tiers and VPS environments). The precise setup fee is transparently itemized on the order checkout summary prior to payment.
  • Non-Refundable Allocation: Because infrastructure provisioning, storage isolation, and administrative setup take place immediately upon payment verification, all one-time setup fees are 100% non-refundable under all circumstances, including cancellation requests lodged within the 7-day guarantee window.

2.2 Multi-Month Billing Commitments (Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual, Biennial)

To deliver maximum commercial value to clients willing to commit to extended operational cycles, ShivaHost conditionally waives the upfront setup fee at checkout on billing periods of three (3) months or greater:

Billing Term Commitment Duration Upfront Setup Fee Early Cancellation Provision
Monthly 1 Month (Recurring) Charged at Checkout Non-refundable setup fee retained
Quarterly 3 Months ✓ Waived Upfront Plan-specific setup fee deducted from refund
Semi-Annually 6 Months ✓ Waived Upfront Plan-specific setup fee deducted from refund
Annually 12 Months ✓ Waived Upfront Plan-specific setup fee deducted from refund
Biennially 24 Months ✓ Waived Upfront Plan-specific setup fee deducted from refund
Deduction of Waived Setup Fees Upon Early Cancellation

The "No Setup Fee" incentive offered on multi-month subscriptions constitutes a conditional promotional concession granted in consideration of the customer's full-term commitment.

The underlying server orchestration and provisioning costs are absorbed by ShivaHost on the backend at the time of deployment. Accordingly, if a customer terminates a quarterly, semi-annual, annual, or biennial contract and requests a refund within the 7-day guarantee window, the standard setup fee applicable to that plan’s tier is non-refundable and will be deducted from the total refund disbursement.

03

Third-Party Disbursements & Non-Refundable Items

Certain products and services involve direct, non-recoverable disbursements to external certificate authorities, telecommunication carriers, and domain registries. The following categories are entirely non-refundable:

SSL Certificates

Commercial SSL certificates, Wildcard validation certificates, and Multi-Domain SAN certificates cannot be rescinded or reimbursed once issued by the Certificate Authority.

Domain Registrations & Transfers

Top-level domain (TLD) registrations, renewals, and registrar transfer fees are remitted directly to ICANN and domain registries and are permanently non-refundable.

Dedicated Hardware & Custom VPS

Bare-metal dedicated servers, GPU-accelerated computing nodes, and custom hardware configurations are procured exclusively for the account and are exempt from money-back provisions.

Engineering & Migration Services

Bespoke automation design, workflow scripting, manual cPanel-to-cloud migration, and technical consulting are non-refundable once labor has commenced.

04

Refund Calculation Methodology & Illustrative Scenarios

When an eligible refund request is approved within the 7-day window, the net refund amount is determined via the following formula:

Net Refund = Total Amount Paid − Plan Setup Fee − Third-Party Fees (SSL / Domain / Licenses)

Below are representative calculation models illustrating how setup fee deductions are applied:

Order Scenario Gross Paid Non-Refundable Deductions Net Refund Disbursed
Monthly Plan (e.g. Shared n8n Basic)
₹249 subscription + ₹150 plan setup fee
₹399 - ₹150 (Setup Fee) ₹249
Quarterly Plan (3-Month Commitment)
₹735 billed (Setup fee waived at checkout)
₹735 - ₹150 (Plan Setup Fee Deducted) ₹585
Annual Plan with SSL Certificate Add-on
₹2,640 annual plan + ₹899 commercial SSL
₹3,539 - ₹150 (Plan Setup Fee Deducted) - ₹899 (SSL Certificate Fee) ₹2,490

* Figures shown above are illustrative. Actual setup fees are determined by the specific plan tier purchased. Where total non-refundable deductions equal or exceed the gross payment, the net refund balance is zero.
